Hands down, my favorite non-pumpkin fall baking recipe. Credit: Carolyn G. Brown in Montgomery Alabama (I don’t know this woman but love her for bestowing this goodness upon us common people), and also, my mom, for finding the recipe in a Southern Living “many years ago” (her words). Is it really a real recipe if it’s not ripped out of a magazine and covered in various food stains?
**I use unsweetened applesauce and usually leave out the pecans, although they are delicious with or without.
**Also, start checking the muffins at 11 minutes. Nobody likes a dry muffin!
